Begin public reporting of physician performance data via the Physician Compare website

Establish national Medicare pilot on bundled payment for episodes of care

• Implementation date: Jan. 1, 2013 at the latest, running for five years, HHS may extend pilot in 2016

Begin phasing-in subsidies for brand-name Rx in Medicare Part D doughnut hole, reducing coinsurance from 100% in 2010 to 25 percent in 2020, in addition to the 50 percent manufacturer brand-name discount

Raise Medicaid payments for primary care using federal funding to 100 percent of Medicare rate (ends Dec. 31, 2014)
