ACCME announces proposal for simplifying and evolving accreditation requirements and process for CME

ACCME seeks feedback from stakeholders regarding proposed changes to streamline and improve the continuing medical education accreditation system

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education has proposed streamlining the accreditation process and requirements and strengthening support for continuing medical education as a strategic asset to health care improvement initiatives.

“Proposal for Simplifying and Evolving the Accreditation Requirements and Process” outlines the proposed changes and is based on the ACCME Board of Directors’ strategic planning.
