Save the date for the 2014 CMS Annual Meeting - Sept. 19-21

Save the date for the Colorado Medical Society’s 144th Annual Meeting. It will be held Sept. 19-21 at the Vail Cascade in Vail.

The hotel is now accepting room reservations. Our group rate of $149/night for a standard room is available through Aug. 21, 2014. To reserve your room call 1-800-420-2424. Be sure to mention that you are with the Colorado Medical Society to receive this special group rate.

Important deadlines

Just like last year, the format of the annual meeting has changed to allow more time for deliberation of strategic issues. Please note the following items.

• All resolutions must be submitted 40 days prior to the meeting of the House of Delegates. This year that date is Aug. 11, 2014. All resolutions will be posted on the CMS website for member review.
• Each component society will nominate one member to serve on the reference committee. The reference committee will hold its first meeting in person or by phone on Aug. 19, 2014 to review submitted resolutions.
• The reference committee will hold its second meeting on Sept. 15, 2014, to prepare the reference committee report.
• The reference committee report will be posted on the CMS website for member review and will also be distributed to delegates upon arrival Friday evening or Saturday morning.
• CMS will open the HOD on Saturday morning, Sept. 20, 2014, at 8:30 a.m.
