DORA annual reporting now open

Friday, January 11, 2019 08:25 AM

The reporting system for Professional Review Governing Boards registered with DPO (Division of Professions and Occupations) opened on Jan. 1, 2019. DPO is the Division within the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) that administers the Professional Review Governing Boards Program.

All annual reports must be submitted by midnight on March 1, 2019. Late reports or submissions sent by mail cannot be accepted. DPO is required to collect data in a non-identifiable and aggregate manner; therefore, reporting can only be submitted online.

Why do I have to submit a report?

Pursuant to section 12-36.5-104.6(2)(b), C.R.S., each Professional Review Governing Board that establishes one or more professional review committees to review the practice of persons licensed under article 36 or licensed under article 38 and granted authority as an advanced practice nurse is required to report annually to the Colorado Medical Board, the Colorado Board of Nursing and DPO.

Information about committee actions that occurred on Jan. 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018, must be reported. After your online submission, your governing board’s annual reporting requirement will be met.

How do I submit a report?

After Jan. 1, 2019, your governing board’s “responsible individual” will see an option in the online system to submit an Annual Report. The “responsible individual” is usually the person who registered your Professional Review Governing Board with DPO. Once submitted, it is NOT possible for you or DPO staff to view, edit or delete your annual report.

The online reporting system can be accessed directly at To retrieve a forgotten password, use the “Password Finder” feature found on the left side of the webpage.
