Wednesday, June 17, 2015 09:35 AM

The Colorado Medical Society and the AMA recently met with CAQH to learn more about CAQH ProView™, recently launched as the next generation of the Universal Provider Datasource® (UPD). This update of the widely-used tool was developed to assist physicians and other health care providers to more easily and securely self-report professional and practice information to organizations that require it for credentialing, claims administration, directory services and other uses.

CAQH has provided the information and resources to help health care providers and their practice managers learn to use CAQH ProView.  These resources can save time, reduce confusion and provide a quick answer to commonly asked questions.

Logging into CAQH ProView for the First Time

The first time you log in to CAQH ProView, you should expect to set aside one or two hours to establish your account and to answer any newly required questions. Once you have completed your first attestation or re-attestation within CAQH ProView, the time required for your next re-attestation will be much shorter.

Not Previously Registered with UPD? Take Advantage of CAQH ProView Self-Registration

If you were not previously registered with UPD, you may take advantage of the CAQH ProView self-registration process. Providers no longer need to be invited by a health plan or other healthcare organization to use the solution. Self-registration enables healthcare providers to begin the process of completing their data profiles earlier to help expedite the credentialing process.
